And so with the worst month or two of swell I can remember in the last 10 years, we all have to find things to do in our spare time, thus no surf = a day of painting! The latest in the Papa monster series includes these two portraits of Monster Marine, Semper Fi!! and of course my beloved Monster Luther Billis USNCB.

As followers of Papa Nui says, you may already be aware of my enthusiasm for James A Micheners' collection of stories compiled under the title, 'Tales of the South Pacific'. Central to book is the character Luther Billis. Luther is a 'Sea Bee'(US Navy Construction Battalion)and all round Big Dealer who has his hand in the black market and just about any scam going.
The Papa in a moment of artistic expression and inspiration has given Luther the Monster Surf make-over.
