    Your blog is outstanding, and so are those shoes. I think my grandfather had a pair when he was in the Philippines ('43). Do you have a source?

    No source unfortunately. The closest I found to date is several Japanese companies who do a vintage style gym boot, try looking at the speed-way shop in Sendai.
